You will serve as a Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Spectrum Warfare Systems Department (WX), Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division (WXM), Sustainment Engineering Branch (WXMR) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER located in Crane, Indiana.

Duties

You will be responsible for stand up of organic depot repair capability of the AN/SLQ-32(V)6 system through coordination with Depot engineers and technicians. You will track Depot Standup actions in Project IMS files, and provide updates to PEO IWS2E V6 APM, PEO IWS 2L AP M, and Lockheed Martin PM via Depot collaboration meeting. You will coordinate with In-Service Engineering, and PEO IWS 2E to remain in front of LRU (Lowest Replaceable Unit) re-designs, ECP (Engineering Change Proposals). You will be responsible for coordinating MISO (Maintenance Inter Service Office) updates and changes. You will coordinate DMI (Depot Maintenance Interservice)/DSOR (Depot Source of Repair) updates and changes based on organic capability. You will utilize knowledge and understanding of the types of acquisition/procurements and processes to ensure the success of the project, coordinating with OEMs for test set procurements and requirements. You will coordinate with Techs and Engineers to develop initial parts lay-in for newly established Depot capabilities. You will develop strategy for Depot Operations for new LRUs. You will provide inputs to PBL-0 (Performance Based Logistics – Organic) Specific System Addendum (SSA) on a yearly basis for additional LRUs to be added to PBL.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing depot operations logistical support including development and technical repair strategies in coordination with internal and external (e.g., engineering, technicians, logistics) management chains for maintenance projects. Examples of Qualifying Experience may include demonstrated knowledge of Navy Supply Systems.
