Duties

Plans, directs and coordinates the execution of sustainment functions associated with the acquisition, distribution, and disposal of assigned weapon system(s). Manage the interface between functional commodity Business Unit elements, internal and external organizations, contractors, Program Managers, and customers. Prepare, schedule and coordinate sustainment planning milestones/activities and is responsible for their timely execution. Identify material change, system improvement, OSCR/VE projects, and depot program support functions to include modification, overhaul, inspect and repair, and field support as required. Forecast, prepare, and submit sustainment support budgetary requirements. Exercise decision authority on controversial/complex sustainment issues. Plan, program and manage available resources. Organize and conduct regular weapon system reviews with the weapon system team, Group Leader, and CBU Director to identify sustainment problems and ensure established milestones are being met. Conduct/oversee supply control studies, materiel planning, and multi-year requirement studies. Render authoritative decisions in coordinating the accomplishment of supply control functions related to requirement computation, rebuild, disposal, distribution management, procurement direction, and cataloging actions. Assume responsibilities of the Sustainment Maintenance Manage when assigned weapon system(s) has an item(s) under NMP.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
