About the Position: Serves as the Subject Matter Expert in Logistical support and sourcing on exercises and military operations. Advises and assists the V- Corps G-4, other staff sections, and subordinate units in all areas of Logistic Support in support of the V- Corps missions. This position is located at Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Responsible for all matters concerning the command's Logistic Support and Logistic Support missions and is expected to work independently. Lead the Corps Logistical Sourcing Management Reviews of missions (exercises and operations) in order to provide Logistic Support advice to headquarters staff and units in the field. Manage the overall planning, direction and timely execution of assigned programs to meet goals and objectives for Command and subordinate units Develop policies and procedures for the organizations Contract Acquisition Review Board (CARB), which reviews all logistical requirements requests to identify proper acquisition method to support forces during peacetime and contingency operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to work extended and/or other than normal duty hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to the extent determined by the supervisor.
  • Must be able perform a Temporary Change of Station (TCS) for not less than 6 months, but no more than 30 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Forces Certificate of License.
  • Must be able to work under austere living conditions, as well as share accommodation under field conditions (containers, tents and/or barracks).
  • Must be able to receive inoculations IAW DoD requirements for travel to specific countries.
  • Must be able to perform business related travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Must be able to travel using military transportation or non-commercial means of travel.
  • IAW DoD Policy, must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport (SIP) and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa.
