About the Position: Employee will serve as a senior logistics management specialist and consultant in the Logistics Integration Branch at the Army Strategic Logistics Activity (ASLAC) at Goose Creek, S.C.

Duties

Participate in establishing, planning, managing, overseeing and execution of operations in support of prepositioned maintenance materiel. Develop policy and procedures applicable to government operations. Coordinate and execute a variety of logistics management actions. Serve as project officer for coordination of all Force Modernization and integrated logistics support actions. Monitor contractor performance for induction of modern equipment at the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • This position is Emergency-Essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority.
  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingProblem SolvingSupport Equipment Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement. Education cannot be substituted for experience.
