About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily childcare available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.)

Duties

Incumbent serves as Technical Specialist for all aspects of Quality Assurance programs. Formally document audit results and develop audit reports to be sent out to management. Provides technical guidance within the Directorate on principles and techniques of quality management. Ensuring compliance to AR 702-11, SIAD QM-01 in document /records control Monitors production, electronics, Class IX items, Class VII items, supply/storage and other functions. Maintains internal and external contacts with customers, auditors and supervisors to answerer customer inquiries. Participate in an Internal Quality Audit program design to monitor the QMS programs Performs and or reviews quality audit evaluations.

Requirements

• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain Ammo 62, CSC, and CLL-120 certifications within 52 Weeks.

Performing quality assurance functions to analyze inspections results 2.) Evaluating the condition of equipment, supplies and chemicals to ensure regulatory standards and 3.) Monitoring procedures for equipment storage to improve quality process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
