This position is located in the Marketing and Communications Branch, of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, SUBASE, Kings Bay, Georgia. The purpose of this position is to assist in producing publicity including graphics for flyers, brochures, posters, etc. and to provide assistance in writing articles and publicity photographs for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department.
Duties
1. Responsible for assisting in the production of graphic layouts, designs, preparation of posters, flyers, pamphlets, charts, graphs, banners, newsletters, brochures, etc., using a computer system associated graphic software.
2. Assists in taking photographs of publicized events for MWR.
3. Provides assistance in marketing strategies including an outreach program of public interaction.
4. Assists in the distribution and dissemination of information regarding MWR activities, including distribution of flyers, newsletters and other publicity.
5. Maintains MWR display holders and participates in outreach programs base wide.
6. Responsible for MWR SUBASE indoctrinations. Assists in providing updated welcome aboard materials for new patrons.
7. Provides clerical assistance as needed.
8. Composes and sets up marquees to promote facilities and events.
9. Incumbent performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
- A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
- Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Must be a current CNIC NAF employee aboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
Qualifications

Experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Incumbent must have a working knowledge of the English language, grammar and composition, writing styles and formats.
2. Must have the ability to develop a visual concept from oral or written instructions.
3. Knowledge of photography desirable.
4. Knowledge of art supplies and equipment; principles of design and layout for publicity materials.
5. Ability to interact well with military, activity supervisor and civilian members of the general public. Knowledge and skill in speaking to community groups in order to explain MWR programs, objectives and policies and to obtain feedback on information presented.
