You will serve as a LOGISITICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the WEAPON SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT CENTER of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

Duties

You will assist in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning by gathering facts, defining problems, and planning and developing millstones and performance criteria for assigned items and/or services. You will collect, analyze, and consolidate supportability plans. You will assist in monitoring Integrated Logistics Support program execution. You will research and evaluate logistics support solutions for assigned programs. You will assist in monitoring contractor progress in meeting contract requirements for configuration and technical data. You will develop charts and trend analyses for use in briefings, reports, analyses, and recommendations to the division directors. You will compile and analyze data concerning availability, condition and use support data.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identification, consideration and resolution of ILS planning issues and problems; adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement and developing new and modified work methods. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree

OR

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
