You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND OVERHAUL PRODUCTION BRANCH MANAGER in the MRO PRODUCTION DIVISION, MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will develop and administer a repair facility audit surveillance program (which includes all aspects of the lifting and handling program) to identify and correct program weaknesses and improve production work quality. You will brief senior leadership on production schedule, cost effectiveness, or material issues to provide project status. You will compose a daily flight schedule considering diverse factors (e.g., operations, aircraft and personnel utilization, conservation of funds, accomplishing syllabi requirements) to maximize the efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: SPECIALIZED. Examples of 1) Provide direction to all Production Branch subordinates and to other personnel directly assigned or identified to support the assigned product line; 2) Work within budget, material and manpower allocations and works with the Division Director to establish workload schedules; 3) Coordinate closely with MRO Production Division Directors, MRO Logistics and the Aircraft and/or Non-Aircraft scheduler to ensure procedures are in place for proper workload prioritization and scheduling and the amount of work that is planned and produced as required in support of fleet requirements with in the branch. .
