You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Submarine Logistics Support Branch (TRF-5211), Logistic Support Division (TRF-520), Supply Department (TRF-500), TRIDENT Refit Facility of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will research and conducti preliminary data collections for quality and performance studies surveys related to the prime vendor contract, conduct training on work procedures, and provide support to the Fleet. You will assist Leading Chief Culinary Specialists in providing pre-deployment training and coordination with the SSBN Food Service Officer (FSO) and other appropriate personnel one month prior to the initial food load-out. You will serve as a liaison between Navy Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support and the Fleet. You will interface between the Fleet and prime vendor to resolve all subsistence issues from the time of order inception until the delivery of subsistence. You will coordinate scheduled and unscheduled visits by Army veterinarian representatives for Provisions warehouse.

Requirements

• This is a bargaining unit position.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current IT Level II, and forklift operator license.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

For GS- 07 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Experience inputting and extracting data to gather management information, determine process effectiveness, and recommend improvements. 2. Experience communicating orally and in writing to explain policy requirements and other functional data to persons of diverse backgrounds. 3. Experience providing reports to supervisors in the chain of command and coordinating corrective actions. 4. Experience operating Microsoft office software suite, including word, power point, and Excel to prepare financial reports. 5. Experience performing in-depth analysis of large quantities of records, keeping data from multiple sources and developing sound conclusions and recommendations.
