You will serve as the Shore Air Traffic Management Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML) in the Missions Systems Group, Logistics Department, Rotary Wing Naval Air Traffic Management Systems (PMA-213) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will employ sound Product Support management practices to ensure Shore Air Traffic Management (ATM) Systems requirements are planned and implemented, per program schedules. You will execute in-service sustainment actions, utilizing cost wise readiness principles to improve readiness and reduce ownership costs across the Shore ATM Systems portfolio. You will employ sound product support analysis, design and management techniques to ensure Shore ATM Systems supportability related requirements are planned, executed, and continuously reevaluated within program funding and scheduling constraints. You will manage spares requirements to ensure future fleet readiness of Navy and Marine Corps Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Landing Systems ashore, as well Marine Corps Expeditionary systems. You will identify future workforce requirements to ensure that the Shore ATM IPT is properly staffed to provide full spectrum Product Support management focused on fleet readiness objectives. You will be responsible for coordinating and/or assigning work assignments to subordinates, based on organizational priorities, selective consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments, and/or capabilities of employees. You will supervise and perform official supervisory responsibilities for assigned subordinates.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band (NM-04) or grade level (GS-13/14) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Planning, analysis, and execution necessary to create and establish aviation integration supportability policies and procedures for major aviation systems; 2) Reviewing plans and products to ensure that they meet program needs; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command; 6) Coordinating and/or assigning work assignments to subordinates, based on organizational priorities, selective consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments, and/or capabilities of employees; 7) Functioning as a logistics technical advisor to internal and external contacts on assigned programs; and (8) Supervising and performing official supervisory responsibilities for assigned subordinates.
