You will serve as a Lead Electronics Technician of NAVSTA.

Duties

You will implement preventative and scheduled maintenance on electronic systems to maximize equipment life and performance. You will evaluate the adequacy of electrical equipment for such purposes as repair, calibration, and testing. You will use diagnostic tools to resolve electronic system or equipment malfunctions.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assigning work, providing technical direction and/or training to military and civilian personnel located within the work center. Installing, operating, modifying, performing preventative and/or corrective maintenance; Performing system alignments on equipment assigned to the work center; Interpreting operation and design of systems associated with the work center including but not limited to Instrument Landing System, TACAN, Meteorological System, FDIO, Communications Systems, and other ancillary systems supporting day to day operation of an active airfield. Communicating and/or interacting with personnel attached to outside organizations; Reading blueprints and equipment technical manuals to ensure proper operation.
