You will serve as a Computer Scientist in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Support Equipment (SE) & Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Group, Data and Cyber Analytics Branch (BL33400) of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will create metrics-based dashboards that support data driven decision making.
You will lead identification of gaps in capabilities/requirements with product owners and resource sponsors and develop solutions to meet the gaps; identify new processes and products, and work to transition them within the ALRE/SE communities.
You will communicate complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel; and prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) knowledge of data analytics and experience creating metrics-based dashboards that support data driven decision making; creation and development of product & process documentation, project management tools, source control, data ingestion, and production roll out processes. 2) Expert understanding of the software development life cycle, Systems Engineering, DoD Acquisition, applications development efforts, agile development, and product risk and scheduling.3) Expert ability to lead identification of gaps in capabilities/ requirements with product owners and resource sponsors and develop solutions to meet the gaps; identify new processes and products, and work to transition them within the ALRE/SE communities. 4) Skilled in oral and written communication techniques sufficient to communicate complex technical requirements to nontechnical personnel; and prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
