You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Information Technology (G-6) Directorate of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.

Duties

You will serve as the Marine Corps Installation Command (MCICOM) Telecommunication Mission Assurance Analyst. You will analyze information environments and associated communications and networks residing within each of the Marine Corps Installation Communication Distribution Systems (ICDS). You will correlate the operational requirement with each corresponding ICDS (communication, facilities, structures, and spaces) residents and maintain the information architecture data. You will conduct on site mission assurance assessments, collections, and analysis activities organizational communications requirements. You will attain, analyze, and write after-action reports, concepts of operations, directives, inspection results, orders, and plans.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing strategic level advice and guidance on matters related to information exchange, information services, carrier grade telecommunication technology infrastructures, and networks concepts; 2) Attaining, recording, analyzing, and protecting (customer proprietary network information) multiple supported agency's information environments and networks; 3) Maintaining and supporting information architecture data; and 4) Defining the mission assurance objectives through interpretation of various the policies and programs.
