Duties
Participates and leads planning sessions for official trips, capture and ensure delivery of all Information Systems (IS) requirements in multiple environments, and track planned voice and video sessions with the Principals participation.
Oversees and assures quality control of IT services, IT Security and Operational Security required of the Principals’ office while on travel.
Travels worldwide with the principal and directly interfacing with the principal and his/her SMA to coordinate the efforts that provide secure and non-secure voice, video, and data services.
Leads, coordinates, conducts planning conferences, develops supporting plans, and manages resources in support of CONUS and OCONUS travel.
Manages multiple, globally dispersed, deployed, 24 hour Communications Operations Centers in order to provide worldwide integrated decision support services during CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Qualifications
Basic Requirement:
Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, qualified applicants must possess:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-13within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in developing and implementing voice, video, and data communications and information security solutions while traveling both domestic and international.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
