Duties
Provides strategic guidance and recommendations for all MCCS Divisions to build branding of the organization and to increase market share with external customers and programs. Supports the goals and objectives of the Marketing Division and assists Marketing Director with development of professional and marketable information applicable to a diversified range of media and markets. Develops strategic business opportunities through collaboration and communication between all MCCS departments. Assists in planning, initiating, coordinating and implementation of a comprehensive marketing program for MCCS. Assists in the areas of public relations, market research and review of sponsorship proposals for MCCS events. Serves as a subject matter expert and direct advisor to the director for the assigned organizational division. Responsible for coordination, accumulation and maintaining marketing information and statistics, preparing a variety of reports, publications and plans as required. Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates market research to obtain customer preferences and marketing trends. May assist in preparing internal office financial plans, commercial sponsorship oversight, and related records and reports. May exercise authority on approved budget with Marketing Director approval. Assists in developing long-range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives.

Qualifications
Five years’ experience that demonstrates knowledge of market research, public relations, advertising and event marketing. Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of a subordinate staff. Ability to analyze the results of information gathering techniques, surveys, focus groups, etc., and able to recommend improvements or changes. Ability to determine effective methods and sources to reach target market groups and patrons. Must have a basic understanding of accounting and procurement methods and procedures. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to make effective presentations. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred. Travel is required, including regular or occasional trips to other regional Installations. This is a white collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferred.
