About the Position: As the Supervisory SARC you assist the Lead SARC in ensuring the equitable and appropriate distribution of advocacy duties amongthe pool of SARCs and VAs across the installation. The incumbent assists the Lead SARC in managing the Sexual Harassment/ AssaultResponse and Prevention (SHARP) Program for a typical serviced population of at least 10,000 which includes Soldiers and Familymembers, as well as Department of Army Civilians.

Duties

As a Supervisory SARC (SAR WF), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: As the Supervisory SARC, assist the Lead SARC with all SHARP case management, and co-chairing/overseeing the execution of the meetings with the Senior Commander. Enforce compliance among SARCs and VAs with SHARP protocols and procedures for advocacy services and SHARP prevention personnel for SHARP-related prevention activities. As a credentialed SARC, the incumbent is responsible to perform duties as a SARC as required and outlined in AR 600- 20 (24 July 2020), DoDI 6495.02, change 4 (11 September 2020) or any current SHARP regulatory guidance. Assist the Lead SARC with evaluation of proposals for systems and/or programs required to meet existing or anticipated operational problems, challenges, and changes in the operations environment. Responsible for the full range of supervisory duties for a diverse population, which may include minor disciplinary requirements, to include exercising significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 25% of the time.
  • Five years or more providing SH/SA advocacy services in the military or private sector is preferred.
  • Background checks against all records required by law, Office of Personnel Management, DoD, and Army policy or regulation will be conducted prior to entering on duty in the position.
  • Must maintain an active D-SAACP certification and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle should the need arise to operate a government vehicle/ motor pool vehicle.
  • May be subject to occasional 24/7 on-call SARC responsibilities.
  • May be required to complete a one year supervisory probation if not previously completed.
