About the Position: This position is located in the U.S Army Medical Department Management Analysis Branch, Business Operations Division on Fort Stewart, GA.

Duties

Serves as a Management Analyst in with responsibility for direct support to Medical Expense Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) program Provides advice, assistance and guidance to management officials regarding system capabilities, available data, recurring and nonrecurring reports, policies and procedures, and general operational matters in HR modules. Briefs MEPRS and DMHRSi directives, methods and objectives to managers and other personnel for obtaining data and expertise on operations. Serve as the system administrator by monitoring user access and granting appropriate user keys. Identifies specific statistic identifiers, and assignment sequences for MEPRS expense reallocations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent may be required to provide telephone guidance to system users after duty hours or on weekends.
  • 10% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is a requirement.
  • This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of inclement weather conditions the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing specialized administrative functions involved with analyzing, auditing and reviewing medical records coding; knowledge of Expense Assignment System, Version IV (EAS IV), Defense Medical Human Resources System-internet (DMHRSi), and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS); solving problems involving different aspects of medical data relating to coding, ensuring all appropriate files are maintained within compliance; training and managing staff; and preparing statistical reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration, healthcare administration, statistics, or human resources. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Database Management SystemsFinancial ManagementInformation ManagementPersonnel and Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
