About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Management Analyst/Program Manager in a Medical Treatment Facility; Management Analysis Branch, Business Operations Division.

Duties

Serve as Supervisory Management Analyst and Acting Resource Manager, in his/her absence. Apply knowledge on management analysis principles, theories, and practices. Develop plans of action and initiates study and/or performance work statements. Provide analysis of discrepancies and works to resolve problems areas. Perform a wide variety of analytical, evaluative, and advisory duties associated with assessing and making recommendations. Meet with hospital managers from both medical and administrative disciplines, providing management consulting services on resource utilization and workload data.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 10% of the time to various locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
  • This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position may require the incumbent to complete a one year supervisory probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing specialized administrative functions involved with analyzing, auditing and reviewing medical records coding; knowledge of EAS IV, DMHRSi, and ATAAPS; solving problems involving different aspects of medical data relating to coding, ensuring all appropriate files are maintained within compliance; training and managing staff; and preparing statistical reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementManages Human ResourcesOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
