You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the CAMERA AND VIDEO SYSTEMS SUSTAINMENT BRANCH, NETWORK AND DIGITAL SYSTEM DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

You will serve as a lead in providing support for the development, test and evaluation, and ship installation of Littoral Combat Ship Camera and Video Distribution Systems. You will provide expert technical services involved with the execution of work assignments pertaining to significant tasks within complex project oriented in-service engineering services for U.S. and allied ships or shore facilities. You will provide expert technical services involved in the accomplishment of significant technical efforts relative to Fleet Support, equipment assessment, investigation, analysis, evaluation, faults and corrective recommendations. You will provide performance reviews of results, developmental approach, evaluation of new concepts and design approaches, and assessment of functional compatibility with complex and highly interactive elements of the LCS Video Distribution System. You will assist in the scheduling and the execution of technical alterations and related tasks.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing engineering projects requirements to develop, test, and install shipboard camera and video systems and equipment for a warfare program.
