You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the FLEET READINESS DIVISION, COMBAT SYSTEMS ALIGNMENT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will plan, organize, and coordinate the maintenance and repair of alignment equipment and tools.
You will investigate the use of new alignment equipment and tools to increase cost effectiveness, modernizations and ease of use.
You will ensure equipment is checked in and out properly through management systems and ensure all equipment returned is clean, charged, and functional.
You will assist managing the onsite Combat System Alignment (CSA) Laboratory to ensure all CSA equipment’s are calibrated, organized and readily available for alignment assignments including processing paperwork to ship equipment to work locations.
You will repair Analog Inclination Data Systems (AIDS), reels, sensors and master stations.

- You will be required to work in small and/or confined spaces.
- You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying electronics engineering principles and methods to provide technical guidance, test, and analyze operational problems on electronic systems or equipment, to recommend maintenance and repair procedures, improvements and solutions associated with combat or weapons systems.
