About the Position: .This is a Permanent position with duty location in Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Duties
Serves under the supervision of the Combine Arms Support Command (CASCOM) Logistics and Materiel Readiness Directorate (LMRD) Director, as the Army’s subject matter expert for Recover/Battlefield Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR).
This position is to direct, coordinate, and monitor the day-to-day operations of the Battlefield Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) team and manage all assigned programs.
Acts as Division Chief in his/her absence in supervising/managing the subordinate workforce.
Incumbent will exercise initiative, judgement, and technical skill to plan approach and work out details to arrive at a logical determination.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes: 1) reviewing a wide variety of directives, regulations, technical manuals and other publications associated with Recover/Battlefield Damage Assessment and Repair BDAR inspection; 2) analyzing or supervising maintenance, repair, or production operations to determine methods of improvement; 3) reviewing work in progress, evaluating the quality of work produced, and providing on -the-job training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
