You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) in the Shore Technical Department, Environmental Security Technical Area, Environmental Compliance Division, Information Systems and Metrics Branch, an Echelon III command, located at Port Hueneme, CA. NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will plan, document, and execute all phases of data requirements at the direction of management to support the daily mission. You will develop information systems testing strategies, plans and scenarios and maintains quality assurance processes. You will analyze process and software performance, benchmark data, and system configuration for maximum performance. You will ensure cybersecurity requirements are met by reviewing and conforming to Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs). You will analyze and define data requirements and specifications based on customer requests.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to maintain qualifications in accordance with DON Cyber Workforce Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2
  • Government Credit Card - Travel You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties; 1) Designing and web site development; 2) Using MS SQL, to structure tables and fields, and developing scripts and 3) Using MS Access and Excel standards and operations, including database and query development and design. For the GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:1) Designing web pages and web site development, with expertise using MS Visual Studio; 2) Using MS SQL, to structure tables and fields, developing stored procedures, and developing script; and 3) Using MS Access and Excel standards and operations, including database and query development and design. NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume. Your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
