You will serve as a Acquisition Program Specialist in the Industrial Business Operations Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will be responsible for acquisition planning, organizing and leading tasks for the entire aacquisition life cycle.
You will participate in planning, directing, controlling and administering of assigned program elements/resources in connection with assigned areas.
You will draft program briefs, point papers and talking points for flag level offer discussions and meetings.
You will formulate, plan, develop and maintain command acquisition standard operating procedures and guidance.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrated working knowledge of contracting and procurement and the use of applicable contract types used in Navy Working Capital Fund aircraft maintenance production environment or similar government working capital fund including how various contracts operate; 2) Conducting cost and economic analyses in support of assigned program/project; 3) Drafting program briefs, point papers and talking points for flag level officer discussions, and meetings; 4) Utilizing automated systems for tracking and monitoring acquisition status, funding, implementation and closeout, i.e., Program Management Tool (PMT), SharePoint, etc.; 5) Developing and reviewing source selection plans and business cases that support acquisition decisions; 6) Preparing source selection evaluation criteria, source selection plans, technical evaluation plans, and past performance plans; 7) Monitoring contractor compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract; and 8) Providing acquisition support for services and supplies, including major systems acquisitions, and executes the full life-cycle acquisition requirements.
