About the Position: Serves as the principal staff advisor to the Garrison Commander and Deputy to the Garrison Commander on hiring and recruitment. Monitors current hiring actions. Coordinates with local colleges, universities and municipalities in an effort to bring new employees to USAG Fort Irwin.
Duties
Serve as the principal staff advisor; builds relationships with career services offices and universities, professional organizations, chambers of commerce, etc.
Implement human capital recruitment strategies to accomplish strategic goals and objectives, supporting the Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM).
Utilize social networking, technology user groups, resume mining, media channels, professional organization and industry relationships, internal and external referrals, job fairs, and other means to establish relationships with potential candidates.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: providing staffing, recruitment, placement advice to command for personnel planning; reviewing/analyzing new as well as updated human resource management directives, policies, procedures and/or requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
