Duties

You will direct administrative work across multiple departments, divisions, projects and offices. You will gather, analyze and evaluate information concerning management processes. You will support and streamline processes in support of several Shipyard departments. You will assist management in conducting studies and managing existing operations and recommending improvements. You will formulate, develop and implement new methods in a variety of administrative program areas. You will investigate and analyze a variety of unusual conditions and assessing program effectiveness. You will conduct research, organize and summarize results to meet deadlines.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• The incumbent will be required to use personal protective equipment when working in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, assisting in the execution of administrative and management processes, identifying problems through analysis or studies, and recommending solutions for administrative procedures or work processes.
