You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST as the PMA-213 Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Advanced Development Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) in the AC33200 Branch of the Mission Systems Group (MSG) Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements. You will develop and implement maintenance capability establishment as required to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost. You will critically evaluate the causes of support related problems and choose appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders. You will participate in IPT Risk Boards and identify any IFF risks that may impact any Combat Identification (CID) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Advanced Development Systems. You will determine best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture. You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases. You will participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Boards (CCB) Presentations and Technical Directives. You will provide analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation. You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholder in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost; 2. Participating in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives; 3, Interfacing with DOD, OPNAV, other services/agencies, supply chain managers, the Fleet, Fleet Support Team (FST), field activities, test and evaluation organizations, other NAVAIR entities and contractors in performance of duties and in the resolution of issues; and 4. Identifying, planning and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements. Implement a plan of action and milestones (POA&M) in support of the logistics program.
