About the Position: Serves as the functional specialist on logistics system management and/or policies and procedures with the responsibility of coordinating and administrating the supply, maintenance and transportation functions into a unified logistics program as it relates to units, installations, lateral organizations and the overall Transportation School Mission and Vision.

Duties

Coordinate progress of logistical programs to identify any problems with program completion. Utilize automate system which includes Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) Decision Support Tool (DST), e-FLIP, Force Management System (FMS Web), and Army Enterprise systems Integration Program (AESIP). Coordinate logistic functions such as supply, maintenance, and transportation for the installation. Make recommendations to revise command policies for the installation. Provide assistance with financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) processing to the installation. Prepare information data from the installations to develop recommendations for the organization.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in areas such as supply policy, transportation management, transportation policy, ammunition management, supply management, inventory management; financial liability investigation for property loss (FLIPL) management , supply accountability, reparable management; logistical systems management; maintenance; and equipment management procedures and resources management; utilizing logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, Decision Support Tool (DST), e-FLIP, FMS Web, and AESIP in providing support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration/Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalDecision MakingPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
