About the Position: Position involves the accomplishment of a complete warehousing operation involving one or a combination of functions such as receiving, storing, issuing, or shipping.

Duties

Spots conveyance at proper loading locations. Processes items through the pre-screen for disposition instructions. Performs temporary space planning of stock location. Assembles stock according to type and/or designated area. Assumes custodial and property responsibility for stock as it is received.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 70 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain Fork Lift Certification.
  • Incumbent required to work Irregular work hours after normal duty hours, weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights.

I can receive, issue, store and ship various types of materials in a warehouse setting; arrange, stacks and moves pallets; using forklifts; organizing and proper storing procedures of different classes of materials. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating .Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc.Dexterity and SafetyKnowledge of MaterialsTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Physical Effort: Work requires to stop, bend, stand for long periods of time on hard floors, lift items weighing up to 70 pounds. Moderate physical effort is required to operate the hand and foot controls of the vehicles being driven. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside in a tropical climate. The incumbent is subject to injury from falling objects and collision; and is subject to cuts and bruises, or broken bones while driving or unloading/loading vehicles.
