About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst, G-8 Resources Management Budget and Travel Division, located in Fort Carson, Colorado.
Duties
Implement organization budgetary program, policies and procedures
Review rate of expenditures of budgeted funds
Certify funds for analysis and reconciliation
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
- This position requires you to travel from the duty station up to 25% of the time
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience equivalent to the (NH-03/GS-12) grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Formulating and executing on organizations budget; AND 2) Reviewing and analyzing budget requests, and 3) Providing financial advisory recommendations in accordance with budget policies and regulations. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/grade level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
