Duties

Coordinate with the Tobyhanna Army Depot's organizational elements on new construction, alteration, and maintenance projects for facilities. Assist in the preparation of technical and administrative project submittal documentation in accordance with Army regulations. Develop a wide variety of designs including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates within architectural and engineering disciplines. Act as the Contracting Officers Representative for construction and service contracts.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as engineering, construction, or industrial technology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-08 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing preliminary drawings and models to meet design intent, 2) assisting in the preparation of documentation related to operational plans or designs, and 3) assisting in quality control inspections of completed projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as engineering, construction, or industrial technology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages. GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) preparing complete technical drawings and models to meet the design intent of architectural, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering disciplines, 2) making recommendations based on preliminary data interpretation or analysis, 3) assisting in the negotiation and preparation of construction or service contract provisions, and 4) applying project management principles to work assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). OR Education: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as engineering, construction, or industrial technology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement GS-08: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Time in Grade Requirement GS-09: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).

Education
