About the Position: This position will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Directorate of Production Engineering at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA.

Duties
Serve as an Engineering Technician on assignments involving the design, development, fabrication, and installation of components relating to Defense Satellite Communication Systems.
Utilize Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) equipment to design structural components and civil layouts.
Act as a project manager/project lead on construction sites.
Assist in the training of new employees and provide technical guidance and review for lower-level technicians.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience at the GS-10 Level: To qualify applicants must identify in their resume that they possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the federal service that demonstrates the following: 1) Making initial evaluation of a design problem to determine the optimum solution to the problem; 2) Utilizing Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) equipment to design simple components; AND 3) Assisting in the development/modification of Bills of Material (BOMs).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Specialized Experience at the GS-11 Level: To qualify applicants must identify in their resume that they possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-10) in the federal service that demonstrates the following: 1) Participating on projects that analyze data and suggest improvements to manufacturing and overhaul processes; 2) Supporting the development of Bills of Material and Computer-aided design and development (CADD); 3) Training mission personnel on proper use of multiple data systems; AND 4) Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the organizational mission.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
