About the Position: Incumbent will serve as an Engineering Technician (Architecture) in the Directorate of Installation Services.
This position will be filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in Department of Defense (DoD).
Duties
Provide technical engineering expertise in the development and direction for the overall project/program.
Review and approve contractor submissions to assure compliance with contract specifications.
Assist and coordinate the planning design and construction with other depot organizations as well as outside organizations and contractors.
Serve as Contracting Officers Representative (COR) to ensure work is accomplished within contract specifications and other contract documents.
Provide advice, counsel, and instructions in work and administrative matters.
Requirements
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation (NACI/Tier 1) to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes:1) Supporting engineering and architectural installation activities to meet mission requirements; 2) Guiding and instructing personnel on contract preparation/oversight on a wide variety of systems; AND 3) Preparing designs, plans and specification for construction projects.
