About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. This position may be filled as a term appointment.

Duties

Assist with management of a foreign military sales program from initial planning through case closure. Perform logistical review verifying costs and delivery forecasts of major and non-standard materiel. Update databases for the managed supply lines in accordance with regulatory guidance. Prepare summary reports which provide program and system status. Contact customers and supply sources to obtain accurate information to resolve pricing discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 15%.
  • The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position’s SCW certification level.
  • This position is obligated.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with program management planning for a foreign country; performing financial analysis for program reviews; and aiding supply personnel with actions required for processing materiel from contractor facilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Maintenance Planning and ManagementOral CommunicationSupply SupportSustaining Engineering Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
