This position is on the Law Enforcement and Crime Reduction Team, and serves as a Senior Policy Advisor and expert/authority in law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime.

Additional information on the qualification requirements is outlined in the OPM Qualification Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions and is available at OPM's website: https://www.opm.gov/qualifications/standards/indexes/num-ndx.aspAll qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.SCREEN OUT FACTOR:Experience developing, implementing and managing multi-partner law enforcement and community-based violence intervention programs, particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime.MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSQualifying experience for the GS-14 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: experience providing expert analysis and advice on complex law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime; planned and prepared documents related to law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime program proposals and implementation; analyzed techniques to evaluate findings related to law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime program accomplishments; developed grant management policies in law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime program implementation, or served as a technical expert in evaluation of complex law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime program implementation.TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications as described above will be further evaluated based upon the following technical qualifications:Ability to provide advice and guidance in the design and direction in law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs, particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime implementation, such as on guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and grants and cooperative agreement policies.Ability to apply analytical, data-driven methods and techniques in the identification and resolution of law enforcement, and community violence intervention programs particularly as it relates to school-based and young adult violent crime implementation issues.Ability to plan and execute work.Ability to communicate in writing.Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
