About the Position: Serves as the Administrative Support Assistant (OA) at the US ARMY Sustainment University, Logistics NCO Academy at Fort Gregg-Adams Virginia.
Duties
Serves as Office Automation Assistant responsible for providing a variety of technical management and administrative services to support the mission and its staff.
Applies a comprehensive knowledge of a wide variety of directives, policies and procedural material.
Performs various tasks and processes a variety of actions related to military personnel assigned to the office.
Award recommendations for awards, Good Conduct Medals, certificates of achievement and commendation, and the process of amendments or revocation of decorations, awards or honors.
Enlisted Evaluations processing, creating rating schemes, create list of Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Reports (NCOER) due from suspense.
Flag initiation, flag removal, prepare a transfer flag, submit eMILPO "Flag" transaction, post flag report, and produce weekly flag report.
Postal Operations task, pick up mail, process incoming mail, distribute the mail, redirect mail, maintain the organization files.
Unit administration tasks, prepare memorandums, messages, reports, plans, schedules or rosters, endorsements, statistical data, and forms.
Create, copies, edit, calculate, revise, retrieve, sort, and print a wide range of documents in final form for battalion briefings.
Receives visitors and telephone calls.
Reviews manpower utilization, manpower management, and staff studies to ensure staffing levels are accurately reflected based on the current and future workloads for the entire brigade.
Compile and prepare in final form, various reports and process distribution.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing clerical support performing duties such as, answering phones, filing, proofreading/editing correspondence, providing customer service, timekeeping, maintaining databases or spreadsheets; preparing reports; utilizing office automation software/equipment to perform duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
Education
