About the Position: The incumbent serves as an Operations Specialist in an IMCOM Directorate (ID) Ops/Plans Division with responsibility for coordinating and implementing the ISD's objectives, plans, programs, and procedures pertaining to all aspects of Operation Programs.
Duties
Serve as a Central Tasking Office (CTO) Staff Action officer for the IMCOM Support Directorate (ISD).
Preparesrequired After Action Reports (AAR), Mission Messages Warning Orders, Fragmentary orders and Operation Orders and related documents to include organizing, formatting, assuring accuracy and completeness of the final publications.
Development of effective training for ISD staff members by participating with senior management and higher headquarters in long/mid-range, and emergency planning, identification of requirements, development of goals, and resolution of problem areas.
Assignment include special projects that require recommending and developing new or modified methods in regards to management processes, guidelines and procedures for the conduct of administrative support functions of the Ops/Plans Division.
Requirements

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) preparing documents such as information papers, orders and reports in accordance with regulations for dissemination to internal and external customers; 2) conducting detailed analysis of requirement taskings and meeting short suspense dates; 3) interpreting higher command directives, policies, and procedures related to operations, plans and exercise planning and developing operational policies and procedures for implementation; AND/OR 4) coordinating events such as working groups or teams in order to support command mission areas of operations, plans, and exercises in a number of areas such as Fire and/or Emergency Services.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
