You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUPPORT EQUIPMENT DEPARTMENT, NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE supporting both the VH-92 and E-2 Support Equipment Programs.

Duties

You will create and update Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD), process Source Data Revision Requests and provide input to the program’s Weapon System Planning Document (WSPD). You will develop acquisition strategies, plan/execute/track SE acquisitions, formulate budgets, and develop spend plans based on the WSPD. You will work with external stakeholders and brief senior leaders on program status, SERD and acquisition issues, and make recommendations. You will identify resource requirements and lead the Weapon System Management/Acquisition Team by assigning workload, providing guidance, and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines are met.

• This is a bargaining unit position.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Leading the planning, coordination, and implementation of logistics management actions to support a specified mission, weapons system, or program; 2) Conducting studies to analyze logistics management procedures; and recommend improvements in efficiency and effectiveness; 3) Providing leadership to the platform logistics team; Coordinating and reviewing the work of other personnel assigned to team, project, or program; 4) Tracking and analyzing data to detect trends and/or causes for declining performance; and 5) Identifying specific requirements (such as funding, manpower, material, facilities, and/or services) needed to provide support for the logistics program and ensuring required support is provided.
