You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGMENT SPECIALIST for Foreign Military Sales programs in the Support Equipment Department of the SE and ALRE Group of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will perform acquisitions, identify problems, determine resolutions, and coordinate ongoing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities with functional specialists.
You will review system-wide operations acquisition and logistics support; and recommend changes in FMS policy and procedures to ensure effective FMS program support.
You will develop program specific briefings on program status, technical issues, cost, schedule, support equipment delivery status, and itineraries for foreign military attaches, civilian representatives, and delegations.
You will participate as an expert representative in FMS program reviews, conferences and activities with high-level foreign governments to negotiate schedules, sales, and special programs.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Leading the planning, coordination, direction, evaluation and implementation of life-cycle acquisition and logistics support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) projects and/programs. 2) Knowledge of regulations and policies concerning and/or affecting FMS country and case management to provide expert guidance with actions directly related to support equipment acquisition and logistics support; 3) Developing and implementing corrective actions, program enhancements, new processes and policy changes to resolve logistics problems/issues; 4) Coordinating and reviewing the work of other personnel assigned to the team, project, or program; 5) Identifying specific requirements for funds, manpower, material, facilities, training, and services needed to provide support for the logistics program, and correlating these requirements with overall program plans to assure that needed support is provided as required.
