About the Position: Serves as a senior analyst in the AMCOM Business Management Directorate (BMD) providing technical advice and guidance to the AMCOM leadership, including SES level officials, senior staff managers and Separate Office Directors/Chiefs relative to the performance of programmatic plans and budget functions.
Duties
Provide technical advice and guidance to leadership relative to the performance of programmatic plans and budget functions.
Prepare program budget narrative including impact statements and Program Objective Memorandum justifications.
Develop, coordinate, or provide financial input for major program reviews and decision.
Develop summary and analytical reports relative to the impact on functional directorates providing matrix support to the Project Office
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position requires a Financial Management Level 2 certification within 24 months of occupying the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes overseeing the General Fund Enterprise Business System and other legacy accounting systems such as the Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System to troubleshoot problems, provide solutions and to perform budget execution. Manage the financial review and analysis, and budget execution activities for a variety of programs and supported weapon systems. Prepare documents required by the Program Objective Memo (POM), Budget Estimate Submission (BES) and/or President's Budget (PB). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
