You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS PRODUCT DATA DIVISION, AVIATION READINESS & RESOURCE ANALYSIS DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will provide standardization oversight of all platforms, and the streamlining of logistics processes. You will perform weapons loading publications development, validation, verification, and publishing for an assigned aircraft platform(s) as a weapon loading or release and control specialist. You will develop data, prepare, maintain, and update logistics manuals and checklists for assigned aircraft platform(s). You will coordinate, schedule, and manage team workload in the areas of development, validation, verification, and publishing of NAVAIR logistics weapons loading manuals and the associated checklists. You will assist in implementing policies and procedures for operational, maintenance, test, and equipment support.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating operational experience with weapon and store loading, downloading, and system checks or weapons assembly; 2) Using technical manuals to perform weapons assembly or loading functions; 3) Utilizing the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS); 4) Managing weapons publications and serving as a Logistics Element Manager (LEM); and 5) Drafting preliminary weapons publications to support Developmental and Operations test events.
