You will serve as an OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the Industrial Hygiene Department of NMRTC PEARL HARBOR HI. Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) if 8.90% will be added to stated salary, subject to changw without notice.

Duties

You will maintain subject matter files and records that relate to the work of the Industrial Hygiene Department. You will act as Industrial Hygiene Department form coordinator and manage the IHD file plan. You will ensure the Industrial Hygiene Department personnel correctly complete and submit their time in systems such as Automated Time and Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) and Defense Medical Human Resource System Internet (DMHRSi). You will prepare and maintain the correspondence log.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of GS-06 experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience using word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphic software packages. Experiences reviewing and preparing technical, scientific reports, from electronic drafts, and various software components into final reports. Experience reviewing administrative correspondences by proofing: letters (reports and survey cover letters, business and standards naval letters), records (meeting minutes, training rosters, etc.), reports (workload summary, population, etc.), instructions (departmental producers) and memorandums, assuring correct grammar, capitalization, spelling, punctuation, sentence flow, for proper format. Experience using the Navy Correspondence Manual, SECNAV M-5216.5, Mar 2010, and other applicable guidance from higher authority to ensure compliance. Experience operating electronic typewriter, word processor, microcomputer, computer terminal, and other related equipment and systems such as Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS), Defense Medical Human Resource System Internet (DMHRSi), etc., and/or Access.
