This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Financial Management Division (FC), Office of Acquisition (FA).
This position(s) primary purpose of this Program Analyst position is to assist the uninitiated program offices, usually the Office Head, in develop of requirements documents for procurements.

As a Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Recommending and assisting in administering a variety of analytical methodologies for determining processes to include cost analysis, acquisition workload studies, and process improvement.
Monitoring, analyzing and managing DEA's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) program, resolves pre-award and post-award issues.
Tracking contracts through forecasting and gap analysis so that contracts are managed effectively.
Assisting leadership in the development of policy and recommending changes to improve operations; and implementing those operating practices throughout all of Office of Acquisition's programs.
Serving as a project lead or participate in unique initiatives, studies, projects, and activities that are designed to improve services and re-engineer processes for the organization.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
GS-12:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Support planning, scheduling, and conducting projects for an organization; 2) Assisting with contract operations, contract policy and compliance; 3) Participating in unique initiatives, studies, projects, and activities that are designed to improve services and reengineering processes.
GS-13:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-12. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Managing planning, scheduling, and conducting projects for an organization; 2) Updating and reviewing acquisition guidelines; 3) Preparing written reports, briefings, and executive summaries.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
