About the Position: Serves in the Operational Support Branch, G5 Plans Division, HQ Installation Management Command (IMCOM) located at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Duties

Using a broad range of qualitative and quantitative with methods for developing and improving program effectiveness, administer and manage Army readiness efforts in line with DOD and HQDA policy and doctrine. Support service wide studies and analysis teams to determine appropriate command position for improving Army deployment and mobilization readiness and related Army Campaign Plan integration, synchronization and implementation support. Using significant judgment and discretion, under the guidance of the branch chief, develop and revise existing policy and regulatory guidance for Army force projection related activities. Exercise judgment, creativity and initiative in applying broad general guidelines to dynamic situations. Develops and coordinates solutions to problems that are unique and outside the scope of current guidelines.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in changing, interpreting, or developing important public policies or programs pertaining to Army Strategic Readiness, Army Total Force Policy and Army Campaign Plan support. Experience with mobilization, deployment, redeployment, and demobilization requirements; the Army Total Force Policy models; the Amy Mobilization System (AMS); and the Department of the Army Mobilization Processing System (DAMPS). Experience with the Military Decision Making Process and cost/benefit analysis. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????12).
