As the Business Strategy and Assessments (BSA) Group Lead, you will lead Engineering Directorate business operations, ensure efficient resource management, and align with strategic goals. You will plan, assign, and monitor group workload, oversee key functions like travel, export controls, risk management, and workforce planning. You will conduct strategic assessments to recommend improvements and manage budgets effectively while fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

Duties

Plan, assign, and monitor the workload of the Business and Strategic Assessments Group to accomplish Directorate goals and ensure the group delivers quality products and services. Collaborate with Program customers and Center financial representatives to maintain Directorate business rhythm and foster collaboration aligned with Engineering Directorate needs. Serve as the senior point of contact for the Engineering Directorate regarding Engineering Directorate resources (such as procurement, travel, and workforce). Maintain and enhance Directorate and Office business operations and policies, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) instructions and requirements, and annual business rhythm to manage Directorate and Office resources and obligations. Participate with Center and Stakeholder representatives on budgetary reviews and assessments and assess and recommend Directorate responses including impacts and resultant risks. Conduct periodic strategic assessments of the Directorate business operations and recommend opportunities for changes in managing and implementing Directorate practices. Oversee the daily operations of the Directorates Travel Office, Export Control Functions, Risk Coordination, and Workforce planning. Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Performing formal and informal briefings and presentations to high-level management on business operations, schedule, and risks; Providing technical analysis and assessment of project resources using tools such as Microsoft Excel or PowerBI; Integrating and developing strategies to optimize budgetary performance and the efficient use of financial resources.
