This position is located in the District Office of the Environmental Health & Engineering located in Reno, NV. The Program Assistant is responsible for administrative, operational, and clerical support for the OEHE Department. This position is under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Duties
The Program Assistant is responsible for administrative, operational, and clerical support as well as office support functions. The position provides managerial, administrative, and technical assistance to the District Engineer, Project Engineers, District Sanitarian, Environmental Health Officers, Injury Prevention Specialist, and is a consultant for field office staff.
Schedule GSA Vehicle maintenance, prepare, and submit GSA Vehicle reports, serve as local agent for GSA matters and all leased office space-related matters.
Serve as property officer, maintain property inventory.
Prepare all travel arrangements for district staff, track Performance Evaluations, ensure Information Technology Access Control (ITAC) forms are processed.
Maintain staff training plans, schedule trainings , and arrange for Tribal employee travel.
Manage Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for phone, utilities, and equipment service agreements.
Generate EPA quarterly reports from PDS and sends them to the appropriate EPA project manager and PTS reports from MS Money.
Filing, Copying, Typing, taking and delivering messages.
Receiving, sorting, and sending mail, faxes, and handling correspondence for the office.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-06 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or task; Examples include: creating a variety of correspondence in proper formats using word processing programs; maintaining manual and electronic calendars to add, delete, or change meetings; serving as a receptionist or point-of-contact for an office; and performing data entry into an automated timekeeping system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-07 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or task; Examples include: managing calendars and meeting schedules for higher level staff; performing specialized office task in support of a unit including screening training request; compiling information from a variety of sources to prepare reports; and preparing and submit supply requisitions according to established rules.
