About the Position: Serves as Program Analyst performing budget execution for assigned AMCOM organizations.
Duties
Prepare cost estimates and schedules.
Review and analyze financial reports and other pertinent data.
Develop financial input for program review and decision briefing.
Coordinate financial evaluations and variance analyses to plan and schedule meetings.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position requires a Financial Management Level 2 certification within 24 months of occupying the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzes input from various financial systems to develop and prepare a variety of charts depicting status of programs; prepares and analyze General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) financial and manpower reporting documentation; prepares, coordinates or provides input to reports covering all aspects of the Command's financial review and analysis program and/or ensures budget data are consistent with provisions of agreements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-9).
