DCSA's Industrial Security Directorate is seeking Cybersecurity Information Technology Specialists. In this role, you will serve as a Technical Reviewer on the nation's premier Command Cybersecurity Readiness Inspection (CCRI) Team conducting security assessments in accordance with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction 6211.02D on behalf of Joint Forces Headquarters Department of Defense Information Network.
Duties
As a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Perform assessments/inspections/reviews at contractor facilities in accordance with established DoD policies that include industrial security procedures, systems, standards, and regulations governing the safeguarding of classified information in information systems utilized by contractors functioning in the National Industrial Security Program.
- Perform technical (evaluation of technology) and non-technical (evaluation of people and operations) risk and vulnerability assessments of relevant technology focus areas (e.g., local computing environment, network and infrastructure, control system and operational environments, enclave boundary, supporting infrastructure, and applications).
- Review authorization and assurance documents to confirm that the level of risk is within acceptable limits for each software application, system, and network.
- Provide an accurate technical evaluation of the software application, system, or network, documenting the security posture, capabilities, and vulnerabilities against relevant cybersecurity compliances.

Qualifications
This position is coded as Vulnerability Assessment Analyst, cyber code 541, at the basic proficiency level. DoD civilian employees and Service members must meet the foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment in accordance with DoDI 8140.02.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology (IT) security assessment, monitoring, detection, and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
