You will serve as a CONTRACT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Operations Department of NAVSUBMEDRSCHLAB NEW LONDON CT.
Duties
You will assist with documenting, monitoring and reporting on activity charged to contracts.
You will learn requirements for quality control.
You will analyze the scope of work, design, and services in support of Contract Officer’s Representative.
You will play a critical role in Procurement Program.
You will provide financial audit preparation.
You will communicate with both internal and external customers.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing policies, precedents, regulations, and guidelines of Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR).
Experience with various funding types to include RDT&E, O&M, and reimbursable funding is highly desired.
Experience with preparing contractual funding documents.
Experience coordinating the processing of time-sensitive payments to/from contractors.
Experience receiving contract requests, screening needs for appropriateness, completeness, and reasonableness of information and specifications, and for proper approval.
Experience with Accounting Systems, to include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR
