About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist at the Army Field Support Battalion-Charleston (AFSBn-CHS), Goose Creek, SC.
Duties
Develop policy and procedures applicable to government operations, statement of work for contractor accomplished work, or oversight plans, etc.
Participate in the establishing, planning, managing, overseeing, and execution of operations in support of prepositioned afloat materiel.
Use knowledge of vessel upload and download, equipment maintenance, container operations, hazardous material packaging, and certification, supply, and contractor oversight operations to develop, integrate, and coordinate transportation programs.
Perform as a by-name designated Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) via memo from the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position has been identified as being a Key Position under the provisions of AR 690-11, Use and Management of Civilian Personnel in Support of Military Contingency Operations.
- 25% TDY may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) analyzing statistical data to perform objective reviews and oversight of contractor functions; 2) preparing project papers, staff studies, or briefings for presentation to managers or other internal or external personnel; and 3) using applicable logistics policies, procedures, and technical requirements applicable to receiving, storage, issue, inspection, or packaging/preservation of Army equipment/materiel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
