This vacancy is for an Administrative Specialist position in the Associate Director for Decennial Census Programs Directorate located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

Duties
Assist internal and external customers with routine inquiries concerning standard processing procedures, requirements, and office functions.
Serve as timekeeper ensuring time and attendance (TA) records are accurately entered, validated, and certified each pay period in the GovTA System, resolving any and all discrepancies with the appropriate contacts.
Develop administrative processes and procedures, and provide quality assurance oversight of all administrative activities to ensure compliance with governing regulations and to facilitate a more efficient and effective administrative operation.
Provide support to Senior Level staff to include activities related to training, conferences, meetings, and travel.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-9, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: developing reports on technical/ administrative functions; planning and scheduling meetings/conferences; providing support for travel, time and attendance, and no cost training nominations; assisting with the preparation of materials to be distributed during meetings, taking notes to ensure follow-up actions regarding commitments arising from meetings are fulfilled; and completing meeting summarization reports.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
